Idsall school washroom refurbishment

Idsall secondary school in Shropshire has undergone a full washroom revamp, recently completed by Inspired Washrooms, a Nottinghamshire-based fit-out company. Over 45 washroom products were chosen for the update, from flooring to circular washtroughs, taps, accessories and more.

The full range of products provided by Franke Water Systems was:

• 2 x SANX605 six-person circular washtroughs with soap dispenser
• 2 x SOLX2400T four-person Miranit wash trough with taps
• 8 x F3SV1001 self-closing taps
• 24 x CHRX669 jumbo toilet roll holders
• 4 x RODX618 Rodan soap dispensers
• 5 x F1390 hands under dryer

Specifying circular washtroughs for school washrooms can be ideal, particularly when trying to reduce the risk of bullying. Having washbasins placed in the middle of the room, means that pupils are less likely to be backed into a corner or up against a basin. The range of KWC DVS circular washtroughs has been purposely designed to reduce the risk of bullying. The circular design is less intimidating as it gives students ample space around the area, leaving them less conscious about being pushed into a corner.

Along with stainless steel washtroughs, also provided were Miranit solid surface washtroughs and water-saving F3 taps. The composite wash troughs are seamlessly moulded in Miranit, an advanced composite and resin material with a gel coat finish to provide excellent hygiene properties. Miranit is much more robust than traditional sanitaryware such as ceramic and is virtually shatterproof, making it ideal for busy secondary school washrooms that may be prone to vandalism.

Finishing touches that were added included a range of stainless-steel jumbo toilet roll holders, Rodan touch-free soap dispensers and hands-under dryers. Stainless steel accessories can complement any washroom and have proven excellent material qualities, which ensures that they are guaranteed to last and can be easily maintained.
